The out-of-class review will be Sunday at 6:30 pm. Meet in my office between 6:20-6:29 and at 6:30 we will search for an empty classroom in which we will review.

Bonjour! I have assigned 3 exercises on My French Lab as homework for Friday--5-24, 5-26, and 5-27. You should also have the exam 3 study guide completed to the best of your ability on Friday for our in class review session--I will take this for a homework grade. Also, the final draft of your composition and the extra credit that I handed out will be due this Friday, I won't accept late work on this. Your third exam will be Monday, April 30 over chapters 4 and 5 in our text book. I will post a second study guide for this exam in Friday's blog. Check your email this weekend because I may decide to do an out of class review for Monday's exam (it will likely be on Sunday if I decide to have one). Below is the study guide for your FINAL EXAM. We will review for your final Wednesday, May 2 in class. You should have this study guide completed by the beginning of class Wed May 2 and I will take it as a homework grade. Also, I have posted the chart that will help you determine which interrogative pronoun to choose when asking who/whom or what questions. Your final exam will be Friday, May 11 from 1:00-3:00 pm in JBHunt 216.

Bonjour! I have assigned 2 exercises on My French Lab that correspond with lessons we did last week--5-22, 5-23. Don't forget that your final draft of the composition is due this Friday, April 27. Below I have included the study guide for your third exam which will be a week from today, Monday April 30. On Wednesday May 2, we which is the last day we meet for regular class, we will do a review for your final exam, I will post the study guide for the final exam this Friday. Your final exam will be Friday, May 11 from 1:00-3:00 pm in JBHunt 216--this is not our normal classroom. Please find this room in advance so that you are not lost or late on the day of the final. Bonjour tout le monde! I have assigned 3 exercises on My French Lab for the weekend-- 5-15, 5-17, and 5-18.

The extra credit passé composé exercise that I handed out today will be due at the beginning of class Friday, April 27 along with the final draft of your second composition. You must turn in a draft on Friday, whether it is a corrected second draft or the original first draft.

Bonjour! I have assigned 2 exercises on My French Lab for Friday--5-14 and 5-16. Below I have included some supplementary materials that you can use to help you remember which verbs (mostly verbs of movement) besides the pronominal verbs take être as the auxiliary verb in the passé composé.

Bonjour! I have assigned 1 exercise on My French Lab for you to do by Wednesday--5-12.

Don't forget to correct the second draft of your composition (if you want) the due date for ALL final drafts is April 27. If you have any questions about the correction suggestions I made, please feel free to make an appointment with me or come by during my office hours. If you plan to do this, you need to make your appointment as soon as possible because my available times are filling up quickly.

Bonjour tout le monde! I have assigned 4 exercises on My French Lab for Monday--5-4, 5-5, 5-6, and 5-7.

There will also be a vocabulary quiz on Monday over chapter 5 vocab words on pages 182-183.

Don't forget, your second composition is due again on Friday, April 27. If you are content with your grade on the first draft, you can turn that back into me and it will count as your second-draft grade as well; if you would like to try to improve your grade, you can make the corrections I have suggested and return a second draft to me which I will evaluate and use that as your second grade. I STRONGLY encourage all of you to fix your mistakes and turn in a corrected second draft. This will help you to understand what mistakes you made and why they were wrong which will help you to improve your writing overall. If you have any questions about the corrections I made, please do not hesitate to contact me or come by during my office hours, I am here and happy to help!!

Don't forget to sign up for your oral exam if you have not already done so! DO IT ASAP. You may sign up with Randi Butler at Kimpel 204B, or Doug Miller at Kimpel 513. BE SURE to sign up on the French 1003 list and write down your time and date. There are no make-ups, so if you miss your appointment, you may not take your oral exam.

I have decided not to give a quiz this week, perhaps on Monday we will take it.
